During the early 2000s, I collaborated as a member of Friends of the Woods, an organization founded by Brandy Cochrane in 2006, to help rehabilitate and bring back into use and enjoyment University Woods, a formerly neglected NYC park, steeply sloping and somewhat inaccessible, located next to Bronx Community College. I’m proud to have worked with Brandy and other activist residents to create arts opportunities for kids, participate in cleanups and artistic additions to the space.
