Jerise is a paper artist, calligrapher, designer and teacher who lives and works in New York City. Jerise’s artwork ranges from large triptych papercut designs to wedding artwork to small graphics and artist trading cards. Jerise is currently working on two graphic projects, and is open to taking on commissioned artwork. Latest projects: a series of graphic stories about and inspired by work on the Decennial Census 2020 (Count! / ¬°Cuenta!); production helper and contributing artist for Fierce Comix Creatxrs‘ postcard series, “Wish We Weren’t Here”; volunteer artist for Black Lives Matter protests, and developer of series of portraits “We Can’t Breathe” commemorating BIPOC victims of police killings.
